Twice in a row, congratulations to our colleague Dr. Christian T. Poppe, who, following our co-founder Dr. Dominik Dörr in 2021, could once again win the ESAFORM PhD Prize for Industrial Research in 2022! We are glad to unite such competent colleagues at SIMUTENCE GmbH.

This week, our co-founder Dr. Domink Dörr participated in the 4th OptiMACS Network Short Course with an invited presentation on the ” Efficient product and process design with thermoplastic tape laminates through a virtual process chain”.

The project “Lite2Duro – Lightweight design through resource- and CO2-efficient balanced injection molding of thermoset molding compounds”, which was launched in August, is researching increasing sustainability and energy efficiency in the processing of thermoset plastics.

Hydrogen fuel cells play a key role in future mobility concepts. One of the most relevant manufacturing strategies for lightweight pressure vessels is the filament winding process. Within an internal study, we explored the opportunities to extend our expertise for the virtual design of composite pressure vessels. Please feel free to check out a short wrap-up of the outcome!

The SAMPE Europe 21 Conference will be held in Baden / Zürich, Switzerland from 29 – 30 September 2021. Our co-founder Dr. Benedikt Fengler will give a live presentation on the “Rapid determination of suitable reinforcement type in continuous fiber-reinforced composites for multiple load cases” on September 30, 2021, in the 08:30 – 10:00 (CET) session.
