We use our self-developed simulation approaches for engineering services, where state-of-the-art approaches are not sufficient. These simulation approaches are based on add-ons for established commercial software and are successively made available to our customers.

Our simulation approaches are based on add-ons for established commercial software. Thus, our approaches are capable to directly plug into existing software architecture and no further single-solution software is required.

The idea behind SIMUTENCE is to use existing simulation approaches where the state-of-the-art is sufficient and to use and develop our approaches, where the state-of-the-art is not sufficient. We provide our customers with access to all of our approaches through engineering services. Beyond that, we successively make these approaches available to our customers, as soon as a high-quality user experience and the interface is guaranteed.

Currently, we are mainly working with ABAQUS and Moldflow. Upon request, however, we are happy to discuss the opportunities to transfer our approaches to other simulation software packages with you.

You’ll find below an overview of our simulation approaches including their availability as a service or as an add-on.

SimuChain

Our ABAQUS/CAE add-on SimuChain enables you to consider manufacturing effects downstream FEA. This includes the export of the fiber structure obtained from process simulation, the mapping of related state variables from the source mesh onto the target mesh, as well as the creation and clustering of material cards through homogenization.

SimuDrape

SimuDrape is a software add-on, which enables ABAQUS/Explicit to be used for advanced composite forming simulation for a large variety of processes and materials. SimuDrape comes with a fully automatized pre- and postprocessing based on ABAQUS/CAE, as well as user-subroutines for Finite Element Analyses of composite forming processes.

SimuFill

SimuFill is a software add-on, which enables ABAQUS/Explicit to be used for compression molding simulation for sheet molding compound (SMC) and long fiber-reinforced thermoplastics (LFT). SimuFill comes with a fully automatized pre- and postprocessing based on ABAQUS/CAE, as well as user-subroutines for Finite Element Analyses (CEL) of compression molding processes.

SimuOpt

SimuOpt enables stacking optimization for continuously fiber-reinforced composites, is capable to consider an arbitrary number of load cases, and  reduces the number of required FEA to a minimum. No special solver is required. We enable your existing FEA software architecture to work with SimuOpt!

SimuWarp

SimuWarp enables the prediction of process-induced deformations, such as spring-in and warpage, for plastic, fiber-reinforced composites, and hybrids through thermomechanical analyses of solidification and cooling through add-ons for ABAQUS/Standard. We cover thermosets and thermoplastics, as well as neat polymers and fiber-reinforced composites (short, long, and continuous fiber-reinforcements).

SimuStruct

SimuStruct enables the prediction of structural behavior, such as part stiffness and part failure. Currently, we cover quasi-static, structural dynamic, and long-term analyses for thermosets and thermoplastics, as well as neat polymers and fiber-reinforced composites (short, long, and continuous fiber-reinforcements).
