The illustrated case study utilizes our SimuDrape software add-on for composite forming simulations in ABAQUS to predict the local fiber orientation during thermoforming with a PLA basalt tape. The local fiber orientation is mapped to downstream structural analysis using SimuChain, our add-on for ABAQUS/CAE, helping you to improve the prediction accuracy and thus to reduce iterations during component engineering.
