We are delighted to welcome Bastian to our team at Simutence!
His profound expertise in simulation and composite materials will be a great asset as we continue to advance and innovate at Simutence.
Bastian graduated with distinction in Mechanical Engineering (M.Sc.) from KIT and began his career as a scientific researcher at KIT-FAST in 2018.
In March 2024, he successfully defended his doctoral thesis (Dr.-Ing.), focusing on the development of characterization and simulation methods for draping engineering textiles, with a particular emphasis on non-crimp fabrics.
Between 2019 and 2025, Bastian led the working group on forming simulation of composites at KIT-FAST, where he coordinated collaborations with Fraunhofer ICT and the KIT-Institute for Applied Materials (KIT-IAM).
We are excited to have him on board—welcome, Bastian!
